Is Nebbud used for sinusitis?

Can Budixon Neb/Nebbud be used in nasal inhalation for sinusitis? This was prescribed to me during the telecounseling, but I do not see such use in the leaflet. In addition, after application, the mouth should normally be rinsed. Is it necessary to rinse the sinuses after applying to the nose in this case?

Nebbud and Budixon Neb are nebuliser suspensions that should be administered using a nebuliser that produces particles of a size that allows droplets to pass through the lungs. This is because the lungs are the place of action of the drug. To reduce the risk of fungal infections in the mouth after nebulization, rinse the mouth and wash the face in the area where the mask adhered. However, there is no need to rinse the nose and sinuses after nebuliation.

Budesonide in these medicinal products is used for the treatment of bronchial asthma, acute laryngitis in infants and children, and for the treatment of exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

In the treatment of sinusitis, nasal glucocorticoids in the form of a nasal spray are used. The most commonly used medicinal substance for this indication is mometasone furoate. When it comes to nebulization in the case of sinusitis, it is usually recommended to perform nebulizations with saline solutions or hyaluronic acid solutions to moisturize the mucous membranes. Pharmacies also offer products containing a combination of hyperotnic salt, hyaluronic acid and plant extracts used as a support during upper respiratory tract infections. These remedies are available without a prescription.

I am attaching links to websites where you can compare the prices of such products in online pharmacies and order them with pick-up at the pharmacy or home delivery:

If you are unsure about how to use your prescribed medication, I recommend that you consult the doctor who recommended it. On the basis of his or her own knowledge and experience, the doctor may recommend the use of the drug in an indication not included in the documentation provided by the manufacturer (leaflet, Summary of Product Characteristics). This is the so-called off-label treatment, which you can read more about in the text:
