Is 4 ml of Ospen for a 4-year-old a good dose?

The recommended dosage for children aged 1 to 6 years (10-22 kg) is 375,000 IU (1/2 scoop of Ospen 750 oral suspension) three times daily (every 8 hours). 1 scoop is 5 ml, so it seems reasonable to administer 2.5 ml every 8 hours, not as recommended 4 ml every 8 hours. Too high a dose can cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting or diarrhea. Remember, however, that the doctor on his own responsibility may recommend a higher dose of the drug on his own responsibility.
