What does a recurrence of fever mean despite antibiotic therapy?

Good morning, I'm sick with the flu. First, I had a fever of 3 days. I went for antibiotics and immediately felt better, but two days later the fever returned again. I take pyralgine. Is it normal that when you take an antibiotic, the fever suddenly returns. Thanks

Perhaps the reason for the lack of a positive response to treatment is a viral infection (antibiotics do not affect the course of viral infection) or the infection is caused by a bacterium resistant to the antibiotic used. It is difficult to propose a specific method of treatment based on such a short description. I encourage you to make an appointment with a doctor who will adjust the treatment according to your current clinical condition. If you are unable to get to your primary care doctor, the gdziepolek.pl Service also allows you to obtain a teleconsultation with a doctor: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja

Antibiotics act on bacteria, and the flu is caused by a VIRUS.

User questions and answers that provide feedback about products are not verified for the purchase or use of the product. Companies often order anonymous comments to form positive opinions about their products, or negative ones about competitors. Therefore, be guided by the information in the pharmacists' responses in the first place.
