What should I do if I forget to take a dose of Lamilept?

Good morning. My therapeutic dose is 200mg. For 4 days I did not use the morning doses of Lamilept (100mg) because I was away from home and had no way to take the drug. I forgot about him. In the evening I took the second 100mg normally. Now I took the morning dose after these few days (100mg) Is it safe? I contacted the pharmacist and he told me that if I took the medicine in the evening there should be no side effects associated with returning to the morning dose, but I wanted to make sure from other sources.

In the situation described in the question, a gradual increase in the dose of lamotrigine contained in Lamilept is not required. Given the pharmacokinetic properties of the drug, m.in its mean half-life and the fact that the morning dose interval was 4 days, you can safely return to use the drug in the morning and evening. In patients who have completely discontinued the drug for more than a week, due to the possibility of rash, it is recommended to gradually increase the dose until the therapeutic dose is reached. In the case you described, there is no such necessity.
