Is it possible to drink red non-alcoholic wine while using escitalopram?

Hello, Can I drink red non-alcoholic wine (a glass of two a day) with the drug Escitil 10mg? Will the content of tyramine not significantly affect the effect of the drug? And is yerba mate instead of coffee a good idea with the above drug? Regards, David

Tyramine contained in red wine has no effect on the efficacy and safety of escitalopram contained in Escitil. So there are no contraindications to drinking non-alcoholic wine at the time of using the said drug. Caffeine contained in coffee, provided that it is consumed in "reasonable" amounts, does not affect the safety of escitaloram. Consuming it in large quantities, however, may increase the risk of the so-called serotonin syndrome. Yerba mate is characterized by a similar caffeine content in 1 cup compared to coffee, therefore, in terms of the safety of using escitalopram, changing coffee to yerba mate will not have a significant effect on the effect of the drug. Yerba mate, in addition to caffeine, however, contains vitamins and minerals, which may be associated with additional health benefits associated with its consumption.
