Are sudden drops in sugar after Trulicity harmful?

Good morning, I have constant elevated sugar. After eating it happens sometimes.ponan 200 . I started to take trutulite 0.75 and on the second day after the injection there is one moment when the sugar drops sharply to me Eg osatnio to 36! Of course, I quickly conquer it, for example, a teaspoon of honey or glucose. I wanted to ask if it is not very harmful such a sudden decline. Then.returns to my norm or over 100

Sudden drops in sugar are harmful and dangerous (e.g. possible loss of consciousness at very low values) and treatment should be selected to minimize the risk of hypoglycemia, i.e. low sugar levels (below 70 mg / dL). You did very well - in such situations, when sugar falls below 70 mg / dl - we use the 15/15 method, which consists in consuming about 15 g of simple sugar (e.g. less than juice in a small carton) and after 15 minutes we measure the sugar level again. If it is still below 70 mg / dL - repeat the action. Trulicity should not cause sudden drops, as it works by stimulating insulin secretion only in response to a meal eaten and an increase in sugar levels. However, the risk of hypoglycaemia cannot be completely excluded. I encourage you to urgently consult your doctor, because it may be necessary to modify the treatment, e.g. change the dosage of other drugs that you already use or change the preparation at all. In addition, it is worth verifying, for example, whether you correctly carry out the measurement on the glucometer. Sometimes very low values can appear when the patient disinfects the finger and does not wait for the disinfectant to evaporate.
