Can Lactoferrin be used for leaky gut?

Can I take Lactoferrin while taking Caldo Complex? Can Lactoferrin be used for leaky gut? Will it help with leaky gut? If so, for what period of time should Lactoferrin be taken for leaky gut? In a dose per day?

Yes, you can. There are no contraindications to the simultaneous use of the preparations listed in the question. Nevertheless, the listed preparations are dietary supplements. They supplement the daily diet with missing substances that can support the proper functioning of the respiratory tract and immune system, but do not have healing properties and will not cure the disease. We wrote more about it here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/czym-roznia-sie-leki-od-suplementow On what leaky gut syndrome is, we write here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/zespol-nieszczelnego-jelita-czyli-cieknace-jelito There are no clinical studies that would confirm the effectiveness of lactoferrin in the treatment of leaky gut syndrome. Lactoferrin is used in such indications as: iron deficiency, reduction of symptoms of atopic dermatitis (AD) and reduction of recurrence of colds. In the case of leaky gut syndrome, probiotics that will regenerate the intestinal barrier will be much better, e.g. Sanprobi Barrier - this is a composition of 9 selected probiotic strains that maintain and support the work of the intestinal barrier. https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/95137/sanprobi-barrier-kapsulki/apteki
