According to the currently available literature, which I was able to reach, most of the agents used under general anesthesia do not affect the effectiveness of hormonal contraception. The exception is Sugammadex, which may reduce its effectiveness. To assess whether there has been an interaction between the drug used for general anesthesia and the Ginoring disc, it is necessary to know which drug was used. If you are using any medication, before the procedure, during which anesthesia will be used, you should inform your doctor about the preparations used so that he can assess whether there is an interaction and make appropriate recommendations.
