Can a blow affect the functioning of the contraceptive implant?

Hello, I noticed in the place where I have an implant such a purple trace, I do not know where it is from or somewhere accidentally hit or something, or can it affect the operation of the contraceptive implant? Could it have been damaged in some way?

Hitting the place where the implant is located will not affect its operation. What's more, in the leaflet the manufacturer states that possible damage to the implant (e.g. fracture or bending) also does not affect its effectiveness: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/37472/implanon-nxt-implant/ulotka Normal functioning should not have a major impact on the durability of the implant. The risk of damage increases m.in with deliberate manipulation of the implant or contact sports.
