Among the indications for use contained in the Summary of Product Characteristics of Provera 5 mg, there is no information on the use of the above-mentioned drug to delay menstrual bleeding. Nevertheless, the doctor, guided by his own knowledge and experience, may recommend the use of the drug outside the official indications. Then it should be used strictly according to the recommendations of the prescribing doctor - in this case, 3 days before the expected menstrual bleeding.
