According to the available information, the procedure in case of delay in applying the patch varies depending on the week during which the delay occurred. In a situation where the delay in applying the patch concerned the 1st week of use, there is a risk of reducing contraceptive protection. Therefore, for the first 7 days, it would be advisable to use additional contraceptive protection. In the event that the delay in applying the patch occurred in the 2nd or 3rd week and was one or two days, and during the previous 7 days the patches were used correctly, there is no need for an additional method of contraception.
