Can sneezing, runny nose and burning in the nose be a side effect of using Escitil?

Good morning. I have a question. After 3 weeks of taking Escitil, I have problems with my nose. I sneeze all the time, a transparent discharge flies from my nose, burns in my nose. Could this be a side effect of the drug and can I continue to take the medicine in this case?

Yes, this may be a side effect of taking Escitil. According to the Summary of Product Characteristics, nasal obstruction or runny nose (sinusitis) is a common side effect of this preparation - it can occur up to 1 in 10 people. Side effects of Escitil most often appear during the first or second week of treatment and usually disappear after a few weeks of therapy. Please continue to take this medicine as directed by your doctor. If the symptoms do not go away, or they intensify and prevent daily functioning, you should contact a doctor who will exclude other diseases and decide on further therapy.
