Bleeding when using 3 contraceptive patch - what to do?

Yesterday I put on 3 contraceptive patches, and unfortunately the next day I noticed bleeding. Contraceptive patches have been used for about half a year. Is everything okay?

Provided that you have used the previous patches as directed and the patches have not peeled off, a single mid-cycle bleeding is usually not a cause for concern. Protection against pregnancy remains preserved. However, if in the next cycle bleeding or midcyclic spotting is repeated, and so far it has not happened, then it is worth seeking the advice of a gynecologist in order to exclude other causes of bleeding, not related to the contraceptive method used, e.g. ovarian cyst.
