Diseases of the blood and hematopoietic system (haematological)
Hello. I had my lower eight removed, not a completely butchered procedure at the maxillary surgeon. ( 14.07 on Thursday) I was given the antibiotic Augumentin. Today, i.e. 15.07 so somewhere after 10 o'clock blood began to ooze from the wound (the wound was sewn together) it was dark as much as it was. I went back to the doctor and another surgeon took me and prescribed exacyl. I have to take 2tablets every 8 hours. My question is whether this fear will not cause the formation of a dry pit?

Exacyl has an antihemorrhagic effect by inhibiting the fibrinolytic activity of plasmin. Dry socket is a complication that arises as a result of excessive fibrinolytic activity of plasmin. As a result of its action, the clot is partially or completely dissolved and does not protect the resulting wound, which cannot heal properly, resulting in the occurrence of local infection. To sum up, Exacyl will not only not cause the formation of a dry socket, but on the contrary - it will prevent the formation of this complication.
