What is the force required to damage the Implanon NXT implant? Does a fracture of the Implanon NXT implant affect its effectiveness?
Good morning, can the Implanon NXT contraceptive implant break easily? Is a gentle blow enough? I have had an implant for a few days and I'm careful about the hand it's in, but I don't know how much I have to fear an accidental fracture and loss of effectiveness.

As you pointed out, "when it cannot be felt" additional security should be used. On the other hand, a broken implant will be felt under the skin. The inability to locate the implant may mean that it has moved and it is necessary to consult a doctor. In the leaflet, the manufacturer states that the damage to the implant itself does not affect its effectiveness.
In the leaflet it says to use a condom when we are unable to feel the implant at some point. Despite this, its fracture does not affect the effectiveness?

The impact force necessary to break the Implanon NXT contraceptive implant has not been determined.
