Good morning, I am currently taking Skudexa, Gabapentin and POLPRAZOL 20 mg. Due to constipation, the proctologist prescribed me Prokit and Boldaloin. I asked about the interactions of these drugs with skudex and gabapentin, but at the visit I forgot to mention the polprazole I was taking. Can procit and boldaloin also be taken when taking polprazole?

There have been no interactions between the active substances contained in prokit, Boldaloin and Polprazole that could affect the efficacy and safety of their use. Significant interactions have been demonstrated between gabapentin and tramadol contained in Skudexa. Both of these drugs have a depressive effect on the nervous system, so taking them at the same time may result in an increase in side effects, such as drowsiness, concentration disorders or dizziness. Sometimes, however, their simultaneous use can have very serious consequences, such as breathing disorders, coma, in critical cases even death. It is worth consulting this issue with a doctor. A specialist may decide to change the analgesic to a preparation whose active substance will not interact with gabapentin. It is possible that it is enough to adjust the doses of the drug accordingly or to remain under the supervision of a doctor. Nevertheless, it is worth being aware of the occurrence of this interaction, so that if disturbing symptoms are observed, you should immediately see a doctor.
