Kamala fruit can be used as an adjunct, e.g. together with anthelmintic drugs. Taking kamala alone may not be effective enough to treat pinworm infection. One tablespoon of kamala fruit should then be taken 1-2 times a day, preferably on an empty stomach. The preparation may have a laxative effect.
