Can a Captopril 25 mg tablet be split in half to get a dose of 12.5 mg?

Hello, if taking Captopril sublingually in the event of a large pressure jump, of course, temporarily you can break a 25mg tablet in half and take 12.5mg (so much was recommended and I have a package of 25mg) Thank you and greetings

This is not advisable. For Captopril: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/15593/captopril-jelfa-tabletki/ulotka/101529 dividing line on the tablet only makes it easier to crush it for easier swallowing, not dividing it into equal doses. Therefore, taking half a tablet, you will not take 12.5 mg of captopril. It is worth consulting a doctor (e.g. a family doctor) and asking for a prescription for a drug at a dose of 12.5 mg.
