Can hallucinations be due to the use of Madopar?

My aunt takes Madopar 250 x 2 and 125 for the night. for two months she has been deceived, she sees people walking around the house, who want to hurt her the worst... Is it due to the drug or the disease itself? Is it possible to include another drug that does not cause such side effects?

The occurrence of m.in hallucinations, delusions, confusion may be an adverse effect of Madopar: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/45667/madopar-125-mg-kapsulki/ulotka/15414 I encourage you to consult your doctor, who, based on your aunt's medical history, will propose another pharmacotherapy suitable for her. The decision to change the drug should be made after medical consultation. Perhaps the symptoms (especially when the drugs have been used for some time, and so far there have been no disturbing symptoms) indicate, for example, another, developing disease entity. I encourage you to report the occurrence of side effects of the drug. Reporting side effects allows you to increase control over medicines available on the market. We wrote more about how and why to report side effects in the article: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-i-dlaczego-zglaszac-dzialania-niepozadane I encourage you to read additional materials that may be useful: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/drzenie-rak-czy-to-choroba-parkinsona https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/czy-bac-sie-dzialan-niepozadanych-lekow

Day d9bry my Mom also has similar delusions-they are strange characters who want to hurt her-they want to take everything out of the house, and now take her life in a cruel way.the psychiatrist recommended "orizon"the drug actually worked for some time, but quickly its dose had to be increased.orizon reduces vision, but takes away the ability to walk. Now Mommy is without orizone, but she has numerous anxiety states. previously she had a few days of drips in the hospital, cleansing with madopar, but now she is gone.
