The use of 4 Evra patches in a row - does it affect the effectiveness of contraception?

I confused the number of patches in the cycle and glued another one in week 4. When I realized I took a 7-day break. Am I protected? Does this have a big impact on how contraception works?

Provided that the fourth patch was glued immediately after removing the third patch, the procedure described in the question does not affect the effectiveness of contraception. Throughout the entire period of use of the patches, as well as during the 7-day break, you are protected against pregnancy and there is no need for an additional mechanical method of contraception.
