Is there an option that the Evra patch is defective and does not have its properties?
Good morning, I use Evra patches for 2 months I would like to have intercourse without additional protection but I have concerns that the patch may not work, is there an option that the patch is defective and does not have its properties? I always change the patch on day 7 and it adheres well to the skin.

It is very unlikely that the patch is defective and does not have its properties. Occasionally, however, quality defects can happen - for any drug, not only Evra patches. Then the product is withdrawn from the market. The decision whether to have unprotected sex is up to you and your partner. Hormonal contraception is a very effective method of preventing pregnancy, but it is not a 100% effective method. However, many couples deciding on this type of protection, give up, for example, condoms. It is worth noting, however, that the condom - unlike hormonal contraception - also protects against sexually transmitted diseases.
