What are the consequences of extending the interval between consecutive cycles of using contraceptive patches?
Good morning, I use contraceptive patches, the first month of use is already behind me. The day of changing the patch falls on Tuesday (yesterday was the 1st day of the new cycle, the day of putting on the first patch from the new package, 1 day after the weekly break). I forgot to put it on. I'll wear it today when I get home from work at 5 p.m. What are the consequences of such a delay?

In the event that the interval between consecutive cycles of application of the patches is longer than 7 days, the contraceptive effect may be impaired. Additional methods of contraception (e.g. condoms) should be used for the next 7 days.
