Rare side effects associated with asertin include m.in tachycardia, i.e. an acceleration of heart rate above 100 beats per minute. In a healthy person, heart rate values range from 60 to 100 beats per minute. If the heart rate values are within the given range, and the increase in heart rate is not accompanied by other disturbing symptoms, there is no reason for concern. It is possible that the increased heart rate values are related to the drug used. However, these symptoms may well have a different cause. The acceleration of the heart rate is often the result of alcohol, coffee, stress, emotions or physical exertion. It is worth regularly measuring blood pressure and heart rate to be able to observe whether elevated pulse values can be associated with a specific time of day, physical activity or other factors.
