DHA acids determine the proper development of the nervous system and the organ of vision in the fetus. According to the recommendations of the Polish Gynecological Society, pregnant women should take not less than 500 mg of DHA per day, however, due to the low consumption of fish and other sources of DHA, supplementation with a dose of 600 mg is recommended in Poland throughout pregnancy.
