If you put on the puck a week before the expected menstruation, there is a chance that bleeding will not occur or will be less abundant than usual. Nevertheless, we are not able to predict this 100%. There is a risk that bleeding will occur anyway on the date of the expected menstruation. Putting the puck on a day other than the 2nd-5th day of the cycle may result in protection not being achieved immediately. Therefore, an additional method of contraception in the form of a condom should be used throughout the first cycle of use of the disc.
