Good morning, does treating really small acne with Izotek carry any greater risk? Acne was treated 3 months with Tetralysal, Acnatac ointment and for this contraceptive pill and there is an improvement, but there are still single changes. Treatment with Izotek is justified in such a situation? Thank you in advance for your reply :)

Izotek, like any drug, can - but does not have to - cause side effects. There is always a risk that some side effects will occur, but it is impossible to answer in advance in whom, to what extent and with what severity. You can read the patients' opinions, questions and answers about treatment with Izotek at the following link: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/38761/izotek-20-mg-kapsulki/pytania The benefit-risk ratio for a drug such as Izotek is assessed by a doctor, and the preparation itself is prescription. This means that based on his knowledge, experience and information about your individual case, he decides whether the implementation of another drug is "profitable", that is, whether he sees the potential for benefits exceeding the possible possibility of side effects. Registered indications for the use of the drug Izotek include severe forms of acne, if it is not possible to alleviate the lesions with other drugs. If you think that acne is small, you are satisfied with the achieved result and you are not willing to intensify therapy, then please talk about it with your dermatologist. In case of doubt, you can show the skin to another doctor. I enclose additional information: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-pozbyc-sie-tradziku-u-doroslych
