Is spotting caused by too late disc replacement or medication?

Good morning. I put on the discs without interruption for the period. On Friday I should have replaced it with a new one at 9 p.m., but it didn't remind me until 2 a.m. I am after surgery, I take a lot of medication and strong painkillers. Today there were spotting, slight bleeding. Is it because I applied my period too late or because of medication? So what if I should remove the disc or use it for another three weeks? Without paying attention to these spotting.

If the disc was in the vagina for a few hours too long, then its effectiveness did not decrease and it did not cause spotting. I do not know what drugs you are taking (strong analgesics are a wide range of preparations), therefore, it is difficult for me to say whether they can affect the effectiveness of the disc and thus provoke spotting - it is possible. In my opinion, however, based on the information contained in the entry, spotting is caused by the lack of a break for withdrawal bleeding, which I wrote about here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/opinie-i-pytania/25929/vines-czy-mozna-pominac-tabletki-placebo If you use the discs non-stop without interruption, you should take it out, take a 7-day break and always do so after the end of the 3-week period of use.
