A 4-year-old son received the antibiotic ceroxim, he is allergic to penicillin, I told the doctor and in the pharmacy about it. The pharmacist also thought that I could give it to him, but in the leaflet it is written that it is not given if the patient has ever been found to be hypersensitive to any other type of beta lactam antibiotic (penicillin monobacteria or carbapecyms). I do not know what to do please advice

Please follow your doctor's instructions. Numerous scientific studies have confirmed the safety of cefuroxime (Ceroxim) in patients who have a history of hypersensitivity, i.e. an allergic reaction to penicillin. Administration of the drug is not associated with an increased risk of an allergic reaction. I encourage you to read the article: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/fakty-i-mity-o-antybiotykach

According to the Characteristics of Ceroxim: "if you have ever had a severe allergic reaction (hypersensitivity) to any other type of beta-lactam antibiotics (penicillins, monobactams or carbapenems)" the use of the drug is contraindicated. If, despite such information provided to the doctor, the specialist recommended the use of the drug, and the manufacturer of the drug says otherwise, it is worth consulting the doctor again so that the doctor justifies the reasons for using this drug is safe. Perhaps he has more information than we do about the health of the child, which, however, speaks in favor of the fact that this preparation can be used. You can ask, e.g. by phone: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/blog/jak-telefoniczne-otrzymac-recepte-i-zwolnienie-lekarskie
