Do I need to take Proursan together with Cholestil?

The drugs Proursan and Cholestil do not need to be taken together. Proursan contains ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA), which is used to dissolve gallstones with a diameter of up to 15 mm. The treatment is long-term, usually lasts 1-2 years, and its effectiveness is debatable – in 50% of patients within 5 years from the end of treatment, cholelithiasis recurs. Cholestil, on the other hand, contains nymecromon – a drug with diastolic, choleretic and choleretic effects, used as an auxiliary in relieving spasmodic conditions of the bile ducts and related digestive disorders. It does not dissolve gallstones.
