According to the Summary of Product Characteristics, before using Biofenac, all cardiovascular events should be discussed with the prescribing physician and informed about diseases of the circulatory system, e.g. tachycardia or valve regurgitation. This will allow the doctor to choose a safe and effective pharmacotherapy. The occurrence of side effects can be reduced by using the drug at the lowest effective dose and no longer than necessary. Just because Biofenac increases the risk of a heart attack does not mean that it has to happen in your case. The leaflet of the drug gives only the statistical probability of the occurrence of a given side effect. If you have discussed these issues with your doctor, you can feel safe. If not, I encourage you to talk to your doctor or family doctor, because they have full documentation of your health.
