Antibiotic treatment should be completed as directed by your doctor, and antitussive medications can be used to relieve cough. We wrote more about what antitussive drugs you can get in the pharmacy here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/kaszel-suchy If the cough turns wet (there would be a feeling that something is lying in the respiratory tract) during the day antitussive drugs should be replaced with expectorant drugs, more about which you will find here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/kaszel-mokry If you can not relieve the cough within 7 days, it is worth consulting a doctor, although it should be borne in mind that the cough (although weakened) can last up to a month after the infection. Below are some resources that can be helpful: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/kaszel-suchy-i-mokry-jak-go-leczyc https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/fakty-i-mity-o-antybiotykach https://www.gdziepolek.pl/blog/antybiotyki-czy-przestana-dzialac
