Genitourinary tract infections caused by Ureaplasma urealyticum/ pravum are common and 100% curable. In therapy, antibiotics are used: tetracyclines or erythromycin. Thus, the procedure prescribed by the doctor will be effective - doxycycline belongs to tetracycline antibiotics. Furagina in this case will be ineffective. Furagin is used to treat uncomplicated infections caused by Escherichia coli microbes. If you want to shorten the time of illness and reduce the frequency of relapses, it is worth following a few general rules: 1) drinking a sufficiently large amount of fluids during the day (about 1.5 l); drinking an additional glass of drink before sexual intercourse 2) after the need to urinate, this activity should not be postponed; always urinate after sexual intercourse 3) daily drinking cranberry juice (about 1 l), which inhibits the adhesion of bacteria to the mucous membrane of the urinary tract. Tablets containing cranberry fruit extract are also available 4) you should wash your genitals daily (and always before sexual intercourse); rub in the direction from front to back, which prevents the movement of bacteria from the area to the area of the urethral outlet 5)when using spermicides, especially with a vaginal disc, it is worth considering switching to another method of contraception in consultation with your doctor. Furagina is an antibacterial drug, chemotherapeutic agent, used to treat lower urinary tract infections, but it will not cure an intimate infection. In this case, I encourage you to consult a gynecologist who will recommend the appropriate therapeutic treatment for you.
