I have been taking ashwagandha with escitalopram for years. Mostly in lower dose than average but it has helped me through some lows and alleviated suffering that doctors have not been able to do. You just have to listen to your body. And be careful, then it's worth the try before you don't know what to do.

Ashwagandha should not be combined with an antidepressant containing escitalopram, e.g. Aciprex. This combination increases the risk of side effects of Aciprex.
