For @Minia: The intrauterine device must be replaced with a new one at the latest by the deadline. The effectiveness of the copper insert depends, among other things, on the release of copper ions, the "stock" of which is depleted over time. Each copper insert has a specific "service life", which should be taken into account when determining the date of replacement. In the described situation, I suggest contacting a gynecologist to seek advice on whether the new replacement date actually exceeds the guaranteed period of effectiveness of the IUD - if so, it is worth using additional protection in the form of, for example, a condom. When it comes to safety, it is also optimal to remove the insert on time. The longer the IUD remains in the uterus after the date of its removal, the greater the likelihood of complications. While in my opinion the presence of an old IUD extended by only two months may not have negative consequences for health, reliable information can be provided to you by a gynecologist who is familiar with your state of health. Perhaps it is worth speeding up the replacement of the insert to avoid doubts about its operation.

Jaki termin minął w grudniu? Kiedy miała Pani założoną wkładkę? Jaką wkładkę miała Pani założoną?

User questions and answers that provide feedback about products are not verified for the purchase or use of the product. Companies often order anonymous comments to form positive opinions about their products, or negative ones about competitors. Therefore, be guided by the information in the pharmacists' responses in the first place.
