Prolonged bleeding during the first month of using Evra patches - is this normal?

I started using Evra patches on December 8 (that day I applied my first patch) to this day (16.12) I bleed, although sparsely, but it looks like a period. I read that if the bleeding lasts more than a week I have to go to the gynecologist, does this rule also apply at the first use? Do I have anything to worry about? 15.12 I have already applied the second patch. On December 14, I co-operated with my partner, ended up inside, am I protected from pregnancy? I had the patch glued properly, the whole adhered, no folds, only the edges gently protruded
