Najlepiej udokumentowane działanie podczas antybiotykoterapii mają drożdżaki Saccharomyces boulardii (np. Enterol) oraz szczep LGG, czyli Lactobacillus GG lub Lactobacillus rhamnosus ATCC 53103 (np. Lakcid). Ponadto probiotyki te można przyjmować razem z antybiotykiem - nie ma potrzeby zachowania odstępu czasowego.
