If you have a red belly button, a strange smell and discharge, it is advisable to consult your doctor first to get an accurate diagnosis and treatment recommendations. These may be signs of infection or inflammation that cannot be ignored.
Tribiotic is an ointment that contains neomycin, polymyxin B, and bacitracin, which are topical antibiotics used to fight skin infections. However, it is not indicated for oozing wounds (with discharge).
In the treatment of oozing wounds, hydrocolloid gels work better. They accelerate wound healing by regulating their microenvironment. In the case of moist and oozing wounds, they absorb excess fluid, cool and soften the area of contact with the plaster and/or bandage. Hydrocolloid gels also provide a painless dressing change if necessary, e.g.:

If there is only redness, disinfection with e.g. Octenisept is sufficient. If there is no wound, there are no indications for the use of the remedy with antibiotics.
