Badanie stężenia podjednostki beta gonadotropiny kosmówkowej umożliwia wykrycie ciąży już 6-10 dni po zapłodnieniu. Najlepiej wykonać go 2-3 tygodnie po odbytym stosunku.
Według normy większości laboratoriów u kobiet nie będących w ciąży stężenie beta-hCG nie przekracza poziomu 5 mIU/ml. Pani wynik mieści się poniżej wartości sugerującej ciąże, dlatego możemy interpretować go jak negatywny.
