Should I remove the Jaydess IUD now if my gynecologist said it is for 5 years?

I have had the Jaydess insert for 3.5 years. The gynecologist said that this insert is put on for 5 years, and everywhere I read that it is a system for 3 years. However, should I remove the insert now?

Według dostępnej dokumentacji (ulotka, Karta Charakterystyki Produktu Leczniczego) system Jaydess jest stosowany do zapobiegania ciąży (antykoncepcji) w okresie do trzech lat:

Trudno mi odpowiedzieć, na jakiej podstawie dostała Pani inną informację

Wkładka Jaydess nie będzie już dłużej produkowana. Powodem jest opracowanie i wdrożenie rozwojowego produktu o analogicznych wymiarach, identycznych wskazaniach, ale właśnie o dłuższym okresie działania. Wkładka Jaydess powinna być dostępna w Polsce do końca 2021 roku.
