Nie zaleca się stosować łącznie alprazolamu - substancji czynnej leku Afobam - z preparatami zawierającymi tryptofan (np. Szafraceum), gdyż zwiększa to ryzyko wystąpienia działań niepożądanych oraz nasilenie siły działania leku Afobam.
