Is opipramol different from amitriptyline?

Is amitriptyline a pramolan-like medicine? amitriptyline I have prescribed for a tension headache.will the effect have similar effects as pramolan?

Amitryptylina i opipramol zawarty w produkcie to leki zaliczane do grupy leków przeciwdepresyjne różniące się jednak m.in. mechanizmem, profilem działania i wskazaniami do stosowania.

Amitryptylina należy do grupy trójpierścieniowych leków przeciwdepresyjnych, wykazujący działanie uspokajające i przeciwbólowe. Działanie przeciwbólowe leku występuje z opóźnieniem, zwykle po 2-4 tygodniach stosowania. Poza leczeniem depresji, lek ten wykorzystuje się m.in. w leczeniu bólu neuropatycznego i w profilaktyce napięciowych bólów głowy i migreny.

Opipramol jest natomiast lekiem wykazującym działanie przeciwlękowe, uspokajające i poprawiające nastrój, jego właściwości przeciwdepresyjne są słabsze. Stosuje się go głównie w leczeniu zaburzeń lękowych.
