Nystatyna w postaci zawiesiny do pędzlowania jamy ustnej jest lekiem przeznaczonym do leczenia grzybic przewodu pokarmowego, w tym grzybicy jamy ustnej i przełyku. Lek nie wpływa na śluzówkę jelita w sposób, mogący mieć wpływ na wynik kolonoskopii. Planowany zabieg nie wymaga przerywania kuracji nystatyną. Lekarza wykonującego badanie należy jednak poinformować o wszystkich przyjmowanych lekach.
