Can I mix desloratadine and clemastine?
Hello, can I mix desloratadine and clenastinum. We went on vacation with our son and there is a dog here. Strong reaction: runny nose, spots on the face. I gave Aerius ake I wonder if I can also give clenastinum. We will have contact with the dog for the next week.

Hello, I have a similar question because today the doctor prescribed for my son (3.5 years) Aerius and Clemastinum HASCO. The recommendations are to administer both 2 times a day for 3.5ml one after the other with an interval of at least 3 hours. Is it not too high a dose and is it possible to combine both drugs in this way? Please comment.

Dzień dobry,
Desloratadyna oraz klemastyna należą do wspólnej grupy leków tj. leków przeciwhistaminowych. Jako że mają taki sam mechanizm dzialania, równoczesne ich zażycie nie zwiększy efektu leczniczego, natomiast może zwiększyć działania niepożądane i doprowadzić do przedawkowania. Leki można ewentualnie zastosować zamiennie, lecz nie równocześnie. Należy również ściśle przestrzegać dawkowania zaleconego przez lekarza - zwłaszcza, że pacjentem jest dziecko.
