Przy występowaniu astmy aspirynowej oraz uczulenia na penicylinę i jej pochodne nie ma przeciwwskazań do stosowania leku Metypred. Lek powinien być stosowany zgodnie z zaleceniami lekarza prowadzącego.
Przeciwwskazaniem do stosowania leku Metypred 4 mg jest uczulenie na metyloprednizolon oraz pozostałe składniki preparatu czyli laktozę jednowodną, skrobię kukurydzianą, żelatynę, stearynian magnezu oraz talk, a także występowanie układowej infekcji grzybiczej:
