Hello. I have an understated sodium level, it is at the lower end of the norm. Unfortunately, I am forced to take antidepressants, and I know that they flush sodium out of the body. How can I complete it? whether a sodium dicarbonate supplement will be suitable for this , and how much to take it? Or is there another way, in addition to eating more table salt?

Both deficiency and excess sodium in the body can be dangerous. At the same time, it is believed that excess sodium poses a greater threat to health than its deficiency. Therefore, on your own, it is not recommended to use dietary supplements aimed at increasing the concentration of sodium in the blood. Slight sodium deficiencies can be supplemented with a diet by limiting the excessive supply of water (if any) and following a diet with normal sodium and protein content. Due to the fact that sodium deficiencies are often accompanied by potassium deficiency, it is also worth examining the level of this element. Please consult your GP for the results.
