Preparat Zelixa, podobnie jak inne leki zawierające ten sam składnik aktywny - sibutraminę, nie jest już dostępny w sprzedaży. Leki te zostały wycofane z rynku w 2010 roku z powodu zwiększonego ryzyka wywoływania incydentów sercowo-naczyniowych, w tym zawału mięśnia sercowego i udaru mózgu.
