Why is the plunger halfway through the window after 4 doses of Ozempic 0.25 mg in the pen?

In response to my inquiry, I received information from NovoNordisk that, in fact, the Ozempic 0.25 mg pen contains more solution than is needed for 4 doses. This is due to the use of the pen of the same volume (1.5 ml), which is conditioned by the manufacturing processes. There is information that some patients, without experience in administering the drug in the pen, "waste" the first dose, therefore an excess of the drug is beneficial in this regard. Additional information is that after the first use, the drug should be stored at a temperature below 30 degrees Celsius or in a refrigerator (i.e. at a temperature of 2-8 degrees Celsius) and used for a maximum of 6 weeks from the start of using the pen. Additional time (more than 4 weeks of initial dose treatment) may be important if you forget to take your dose or need to postpone your dose. Please help and suggest. After two doses of 0.25 in the pen, I have it completely full. Does this mean that I did something wrong and did not take this drug 🤔 at all And what in such a situation, I should go to the doctor for one more prescription and repeat these two doses 🤔

Ozempic najlepiej stosować z pena 1mg i dawkować np. 05mg przez 8 tyg za 360 zamiast 720 zl za 2 peny 0,5mg.

Do @Milena: z wyjaśnień uzyskanych od producenta ani z ulotki nie wynika wprost taka możliwość. Zwrócę się z tym zapytaniem i jeśli napłynie odpowiedź, to przekażę ją Pani w tym wątku.

Mam pytanie. Czy skoro zostaje w penie lek, tak jak pisała Pani wyżej, to można dokupić igly i podać lek po tygodniu jako piątą dawkę? Czy to bedzie pełnowartościowa dawka 0,25 czy to co pozostało jest jiz do wyrzucenia?
