Shortness of breath is not a typical side effect of Nonpres (eplerenone), but in practice it can occur indirectly. Most often, this is not due to the drug itself, but to electrolyte disorders (especially increased potassium), deterioration of kidney function or worsening of the heart disease in which the drug is used.

If shortness of breath appears new, increases or is accompanied by weakness, palpitations or a feeling of "heavy legs", it is worth urgently checking potassium levels and kidney function.

In case of clear breathing difficulties or deterioration of general condition, do not wait – a quick medical consultation is necessary.
