I bought femoston Conti the wrong dosage 0.5/2.5 mg. Usually need 1/5. Can I just take 2 tablets so I don't have to throw away the pack?

It is not recommended to use 2 tablets of Femoston mini (0.5 mg of estradiol and 2.5 mg of dihydrogesterone) instead of 1 tablet of Femoston conti (doses of 1.0 mg of estradiol and 5.0 mg of dihydrogesterone) because of possible differences in the absorption of the medicine, which may reduce the effect of hormone replacement therapy and may increase the risk of side effects.
If you do not have a valid prescription for Femoston conti, the ad hoc and short-term use of a double dose of Femoston mini is acceptable. Such a procedure should not be practiced permanently and for a long time (e.g. throughout the package).
In order to obtain the correct prescription, I encourage you to consult your doctor again. You can also take advantage of a paid teleconsultation in Polish arranged e.g. via the Gdziepolek.pl portal:
