I had done beta hcg blood several times before in the same laboratory and the result was always <0.5. Today I also did a beta 3 weeks after petting to make sure everything was ok and the result came out equal to 0.81. What could this mean? Could it be that I'm pregnant and the hormone is just about to grow? ... 21 days after petting.

Up to @Malw:
Yes, after 3 weeks the result would definitely indicate pregnancy. In your case, it is still within the limits of the values indicating the absence of pregnancy (less than 5 mIU/ml). As I mentioned, slight fluctuations in hormone concentration may result from physiological hormonal changes, this is a natural phenomenon. You are not pregnant.

The tests were done in the same laboratory. I think I used to make 6 of these bets in general and it was always below 0.5, so now I'm stressed. So after 21 days it would definitely be bigger and there is no reason to worry? So what can it depend on that this hormone has increased a little?

Beta-HCG results of <0.5 mIU/ml and 0.81 mIU/ml indicate no pregnancy. They can be considered credible, since as many as 21 days have passed since the rapprochement. Such a small increase may result from physiological fluctuations in hormonal balance, but also, for example, from differences between laboratories or the sensitivity of the test. There is no reason to worry, you are not pregnant.
